Krøyers Plads awarded best housing project in Copenhagen

Since 1902, the City of Copenhagen has once a year awarded the best buildings and urban environments of Copenhagen with the purpose to inspire architects and their commissioners to create innovative contemporary architecture, and thus increase quality of life for all inhabitants of Copenhagen.

This year, Krøyers Plads is awarded Best Housing Project in the city, presented today at Copenhagen's city hall by Mayor of Culture and Leisure Carl Christian Ebbesen.

Cobe at CAFx 2017

Copenhagen Architecture Festival 2017 kicks off Thursday April 27, and in collaboration with the festival, Cobe will be hosting a series of unique events.

In addition, Dan Stubbergaard has together with designer Henrik Vibskov curated five films during the festival running from April 27 until May 7.

Krøyers Plads is the Architizer A+ Award Jury Winner in the Multi Unit Housing – Mid Rise (5-15 Floors) Category!

As the world’s largest and fastest growing website for architecture, Architizer's awards programme received entries from more than 100 countries this year representing the best of architecture and design worldwide.

Cobe shortlisted in international competition for aquatics centre on Paper Island in Copenhagen

Cobe – together with BIG, Hundsbæk & Henriksen, SLA, Dansk Energi Management & Esbensen, Teknologisk Institut, Gade & Mortensen and A KASSEN – is among 5 teams selected to participate in the international competition for the design of an aquatics centre and harbour pool uniquely located on Paper Island in the heart of Copenhagen's harbour.

The project is part of Cobe’s winning masterplan for Paper Island where a series of new halls for informal, public functions are envisioned, one of them being a swimming hall. Private housing will be placed on top of the halls encircling a green and intimate courtyard.

Roskilde Festival Folk High School celebrates groundbreaking

Roskilde Festival Folk High School is at the next stage of development as the project begins its construction today. The 3,000 m² Roskilde Festival Folk High School is the first newly-established and newly-built folk high school of its kind in Denmark in 45 years, and also includes additional 2,600 m² student housing.

Roskilde Festival Folk High School and student housing will be completed in 2018 and is part of the masterplan for ROCKmagneten transforming the existing cement factories on site into a district for rock music, creativity and youth culture. Cobe won the competition for ROCKmagneten in 2009 together with MVRDV.

Cobe to transform Deutzer Hafen in Cologne

The planning work for Deutzer Hafen in Cologne has started up. The project transforms the old industrial harbour of Cologne into a lively and sustainable new neighbourhood with a huge waterfall and public swimming pool as landmark.

Architectural terracotta collection honoured in Wallpaper* Design Awards 2017

Our architectural terracotta collection, designed in collaboration with Kilo Design, has been honoured in Wallpaper* Design Awards 2017. Inspired by Cobe’s Forfatterhuset Kindergarten and its unique brick slats and green roof gardens, the pots bridge scale and design, and bring the city and architecture into the living room.
