Presenting Karen Blixens Plads
A new name for the University of Copenhagen's new square and student hang-out is now official: Karen Blixens Plads, named after the famous Danish poet Karen Blixen.
One core element of the design is the creation of high capacity bicycle parking under and around three bicycle hills. Another is the integration of the University’s urban functions with the adjacent nature reserve, Amager Fælled. With its approximately 20.000 m², Karen Blixen Plads will be one of the biggest public squares in Copenhagen.

Cobe awarded Gazelle for the fifth year in a row

Accomplishing this five years in a row makes Cobe a Super-Gazelle and places the company in the exclusive group of role models, continuously creating jobs, growth and optimism. Only 3,3% of the 1.805 Gazelle-awarded companies in 2016 have recieved the award 5 years in a row or more.
Cobe and Kilo design architectural terracotta collection
As part of the Our Urban Living Room exhibition, Cobe and Kilo have bridged scales, and together designed a limited edition architectural terracotta collection. As the exhibition refers to the extension of the personal sphere into the cityscape, the collection brings the city back into your personal living room. The collection is inspired by the material and DNA of Cobe’s Forfatterhuset Kindergarten and contains 3 simple objects for everyday use – a small bowl, a flower pot and a vase. Buy them at the Danish Architecture Centre during the run of the Our Urban Living Room exhibition.

Cobe wins competition to transform the harbour of Cologne
Stadt Köln and Moderne Stadt choose Cobe to transform the old industrial harbour of Cologne, Deutzer Hafen, into a new urban district! Together with Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl and Transsolar, we envision a masterplan that includes new housing typologies, public plazas, a new bridge and a public infinity pool where you can take a swim in purified rainwater. The pool ends in a huge waterfall and will cleanse the Rhine River over the coming years. The new neighbourhood in Cologne will provide homes for 5,000 inhabitants and work spaces for another 4,500.
